The Beacon of Hope School in Uganda is currently in need of a more sustainable and abundant way of producing food. Currently they use wood burning technology which releases a lot of emissions and creates tremendous health problems for the people of Uganda. The previous group started the initiative by creating a prototype solar electric cooker that could solve those two problems. Although the prototype is successful in both sustainability and efficiency, they have yet to implement the technology in Uganda. Our mission is to learn more about the academic system in Uganda and start up a club that could be implemented into the Beacon of Hope School. Through education, we will be shifting their former cooking habits to a more sustainable way of living.
